We understand the importance of considering the long-term impact of design, technology, product selection, customisations and the scale benefits of community on lifetime support costs for each Participant. Our approach to SDA housing takes into account the diverse needs of individuals with physical, cognitive, sensory, and behavioural disabilities.
We are committed to creating homes that are not only functional and accessible, but also promote independence and quality of life for our tenants. By focusing on the long-term impact of design, technology and environmental, social and governance initiatives as well as the scale benefits of community in service delivery, we aim to reduce lifetime support costs for Participants, stretching their NDIS budget and creating a truly empowering living experience for people with disabilities.
As an impact driven enterprise, we take active and meaningful steps to promote ESG initiatives as an organisation and in each of our homes.
Our social impact objectives are embedded within our DNA and are implicit in our mission – to help people with a disability and complex care needs find their dream home: where they are nurtured, safe and have the opportunity to thrive and live their best life. We measure the impact we have on our community in several ways, by providing access to exceptional homes that improve the sensory, functional, health, financial, recreational and community engagement outcomes for a vulnerable portion of the Australian population.
The sustainability initiatives included in our homes are designed to improve energy efficiency, reduce expenses for our tenants and ultimately to minimise emissions. The scope of our initiatives will vary from home to home and will escalate over time, catalysed by improvements in technology and scale. Our commitment to sustainable development is a real one and where possible we seek to develop SDA within this general framework:
